For an excellent writing resource, teachers can refer to Writing Boxes: The Reading/Writing Connection in Libraries by Lisa Von Drasek. Teachers can download this book for free or purchase it in a hard copy form. The book includes a wide range of interesting, fun, and functional writing activities, beginning with the early stages of writing and moving developmentally to more advanced activities related to narrative and expository writing. Writing practices and activities can be transported to integrating writing with reading, STEM, and social-emotional learning.
